 India overtaken Iran on Sunday as the number of Kovid patients in the country continued to rise.  India ranks 10th in the list of countries most affected by the corona virus.

 In the last 24 hours, 6,977 new corona cases have been reported in India.  This is considered to be the highest increase in a single day.  During the same period, 154 coronary heart disease patients died.  Statistics as of 9 a.m. Monday, May 25, were released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

 The total number of corona victims in the country has gone up to 1 lakh 38 thousand 845.  Of these, 77 thousand 103 patients are undergoing treatment (active cases).  So far, 57,720 people have been coronated.  A total of 4021 people lost their lives due to corona.

 There are now 1 lakh 35 thousand 701 patients in Iran.  The United States has the highest number of coronaviruses at 16.86 million.  India is followed by Brazil, Russia, Spain, UK, Italy, France, Germany and Turkey.  Just last week, India surpassed China in patient numbers.

 In Maharashtra, 3,041 new corona cases were found yesterday.  This includes 1725 patients in Mumbai alone.  Maharashtra crossed the milestone of 50,000 patients.  The number of corona victims in Mumbai has gone beyond 30,000.

 A total of 1196 patients were discharged in the state yesterday.  So far, 14,600 people in the state have overcome corona.  At present, there are 33,988 active patients in the state.  Yesterday, 58 coronary heart disease patients died in the state.  So fear is being expressed.  Solapur district has 590 corona active patients.

 How do the wheels lock?

 During braking, if the brake force is applied the wheels get locked which is more than the friction between the road and the tires.  This usually happens in panic breaking situations, especially on slippery roads.  When the front wheels lock, the vehicle moves in the direction of movement.  The vehicle rotates when the rear wheels are locked.  It is impossible to move around an obstacle with a wheel lock.  Locked wheels can thus cause accidents.  Skidding also shortens the life of the tire.  The ABS system avoids accidents.

देशातील कोविड रुग्णांची संख्या सातत्याने वाढत असताना रविवारी भारताने इराणला मागे टाकले. कोरोना व्हायरसचा सर्वाधिक फटका बसलेल्या देशांच्या यादीत भारत दहाव्या क्रमांकावर गेला आहे. 

गेल्या 24 तासात भारतात तब्बल 6 हजार 977 नव्या कोरोनाग्रस्त रुग्णांची भर पडली आहे. ही एका दिवसातील सर्वाधिक वाढ मानली जाते. याच कालावधीत 154 कोरोनाबाधित रुग्णांना प्राण गमवावे लागले. सोमवार 25 मे सकाळी 9 वाजेपर्यंतची आकडेवारी आरोग्य आणि कुटुंब कल्याण मंत्रालयाने दिली.

देशातील एकूण कोरोनाग्रस्तांचा आकडा 1 लाख 38 हजार 845 वर गेला आहे. यापैकी 77 हजार 103 रुग्णांवर उपचार सुरु (अॅक्टिव्ह केस) आहेत. आतापर्यंत 57 हजार 720 जण कोरोनामुक्त झाले आहेत. तर एकूण 4021 जणांना कोरोनामुळे प्राण गमवावे लागले.

इराणमध्ये आता 1 लाख 35 हजार 701 रुग्ण आहेत. अमेरिकेत सर्वाधिक 16 लाख 86 हजार 436 कोरोनाग्रस्त आहेत. ब्राझील, रशिया, स्पेन, यूके, इटली, फ्रान्स, जर्मनी, तुर्की हे देश भारताच्या पुढे आहेत. गेल्याच आठवड्यात भारताने चीनला रुग्णसंख्येत मागे टाकले.

महाराष्ट्रात 3 हजार 41 नवे कोरोनाग्रस्त कालच्या दिवसात सापडले. यात एकट्या मुंबईतील 1725 रुग्णांचा समावेश आहे. महाराष्ट्राने एकूण 50 हजार रुग्णसंख्येचा टप्पा ओलांडला. तर मुंबईतील कोरोनाबाधितांचा आकडा 30 हजारांच्या पुढे गेला आहे. 

राज्यात काल दिवसभरात 1196 रुग्णांना डिस्चार्ज देण्यात आला. आतापर्यंत राज्यात 14 हजार 600 जणांनी कोरोनावर मात केली आहे. तर सध्या राज्यात 33 हजार 988 अॅक्टिव्ह रुग्ण आहेत. काल राज्यात 58 कोरोनाबाधित रुग्णांचा मृत्यू झाला. त्यामुळे भीती व्यक्त केली जात आहे. सोलापूर जिल्ह्यात 590 रुग्ण संख्या झाली आहे.

चाके कसे लॉक करतात?

 ब्रेकिंग दरम्यान, ब्रेक फोर्स लागू केला असल्यास चाके लॉक होतात हे रस्ता आणि टायर दरम्यानच्या घर्षणापेक्षा जास्त असते.  हे सहसा पॅनीक ब्रेकिंगच्या परिस्थितीत घडते, विशेषत: निसरड्या रस्त्यावर.  जेव्हा पुढची चाके लॉक करतात, वाहन हालचालीच्या दिशेने सरकते.  मागील चाके लॉक झाल्यावर वाहन फिरते.  चाके लॉक असलेल्या अडथळ्याभोवती फिरणे अशक्य आहे.  लॉक केलेले चाके अशा प्रकारे अपघात होऊ शकतात.  स्किडिंगमुळे टायरचे आयुष्य देखील कमी होते. ABS सिस्टीम मुळे अपघात टळला जातो.
